<p><strong>Description: </strong>In its 35th year, the USF Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) is part of the required curriculum to qualify for the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) exam.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s Florida&#8217;s only BEDC accredited by the IEDC and is offered once a year through USF College of Business. Class size is limited. Early registration is recommended. <p>1. One incentive fund and one  signature. ED tools wrapped up in one fund.</p>
<p>2. One economic development,  workforce development and community development. Eliminate silos.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><span>The FED</span><span>C</span><span> Board of Directors and Economic Development Profession</span><span>als throughout the state of Florida have formed the Young Profession</span><span>als Program. </span><span>The mission of the YP Program is to reach, teach and train the next generation of economic development profess</span><span>ionals in the state of Florida with the tools, contact and education they need to carry the torch of their peers.<br />

<p><span>In an </span><span>eff</span><span>ort to continue to make Florida a vibrant and economically sound p</span><span>lace for business, education, and lifestyle the YP&#8217;s host monthl</span><span>y conference calls featuring industry specific topics. &#8220;The FEDC YP Ambassador program connects our young professionals with each other on a</span><span> one-to-one basis. When a YP can&#8217;t make a monthly call, we have a phone tree set in place to share the most current information with them to keep all of group up to date with our material, training, and resources,&#8221; says Peter Tokar, Chair of the YP Group.<br />
